據SSI呼吸代謝技術官網2022年1月20日最新參考信息，鎮靜劑右美托咪定可能有助于治療重癥監護中的新冠肺炎患者——但它如何影響呼吸和血壓？
右美托咪定可維持一定程度的鎮靜狀態，有利于降低機體的氧耗率，改善氧合。來自日本牙科大學的科學家采用Foxbox呼吸代謝技術構建了如下圖所示的鎮靜
